We have lost one of our own

I have left this little corner of the world to the dust bunnies, so I somehow doubt that this will reach many.  But in case you are one of the few left, we have lost our friend Doc recently.  I could try to express what I feel, but our good friend Scotland has done a far better job than I ever could.

Drop over and please read his moving tribute.  And folks?  Hug each other a little more, and a little tighter.

  2. It was indeed a beautiful tribute to a kindred soul who left us far far too early. May you be in peace, Doc.

  3. I am so sorry to hear the news. I didn't know him well, but I used to see him around, commenting here and there. It's awful that whatever it was he was battling left him feeling that he had no other way out. I can't imagine the pain his kids are in.

  4. I'm still a little stunned by this.

A few months ago, my wife was talking to someone at a party and she referred to our little blogging community-- the group of us who have continued to read our posts and even spill over into other media. It amazes me how diverse, yet close-knit the group is. Doc was part of that community. He will be missed.
