Notes from the Grammys from a dude completely out of the music scene.

Memo to Usher:
Tribute song 101. Just sing the damn song douchebag and quit trying to make it about you! Check it out, it's in the handbook...

Taylor:
You couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. You better hope those looks don't fade anytime soon.

Smokey:
Call it a career and ride on off into the sunset. please. You can't move a single part of that face anymore.

Pink:
Admit it. You have one of those long fabrics in your bedroom, don't you? You were waaaaay too comfortable in that thing.

Grammy producers:
Can you get any more lights and effects? I only had 2 seizures and I wanted to go for the trifecta.

That is all. You may now continue on with you more reliable sources on the music scene.

  2. The first half of the Grammys was okay, but it started to drag and the second half was boring.

Not a Taylor Swift fan. I think her songs are cheesy and gimmicky.

Sick and tired of Kings of Leon. "We're kinda drunk" Yeah, we get it, you guys drink a lot. It's only funny when I make drunk jokes guys. ;-)

  3. I didn't watch for those reasons. Plus I'm old and I go to bed early

  4. My daughters watched it, but I only saw bits and pieces...And that was quite enough.

  5. Taylor? Looks? Come on, don't be nice because she's young. The girl looks like a muskrat.

  6. We had the other event that meant nothing, the Pro Bowl on at work. It was funny to see the guys try not to tackle hard, since the game meant nothing. As a co-worker pointed out, they might as well have played flag football.

The Grammys have always had little to do with what's going on in music. In 1967, a year rife with amazing music, the Grammy winner for best song was the one-hit wonder "Winchester Cathedral" by The New Vaudeville Band.

  7. Hahaha, you nailed every one. I thought Pink was awesome though. A bit too much baptism symbolism, but you can't have everything.
Oh, and Beyonce should stop trying to steal thunder off of the divine Miss Alanis Morisette.
Almost forgot, I am not at all a fan of Lady Gaga, but she outsang Sir Elton John. That little lady has a big voice.

  8. I think this is the best review of the Grammys I've read online. maybe because I am also completely out of the music scene? And because you had the kahunas to mock the wholesome little muskrat.
