Random Thoughts From The Weekend

I have some really good friends.  Thanks Kristi, Dave, and Michael for the great times and fantastic dinner Wednesday night.

I went to the crappy, almost closed mall a while back, and the hoods held the door open for me and Skyler, and said "Yo Dude" to Skyler.  I went the the fancy-pants mall today, and backed through the door to hold it open and pull Skyler through while a rich bitch waited impatiently and cut between me and Skyler.
Score 1 for the crappy mall.

It is pretty damn sad when the best football team in your state is the service academy, Air Force.

Never underestimate the effectiveness of muscle relaxers.  My back was toast and now it is half-way normal.

Kathy did the Boulder Sunset Triathlon today.  I wore a shirt...

My sister and brother-in-law's two dogs, Jake the Gold lab/Bloodhound mix, and Tyr, the timber wolf.

So, is this too random? Not random enough? Make you long for bad tats?

  4. People at the crappy mall in the hood are usually more fun to hang with.

  5. We were at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and mom was putting the w/c in the trunk. A big, black guy parted from his friends and walked towards us, asking, "Do you need help with that?" Mom politely (as always) declined and he replied, "That's cool. I always try to help out a motha." She got into the car and we nearly died laughing. But we appreciated his attitude. : )

And apparently that rich bitch doesn't believe in Karma.

Nice to know you can wear a tee-shirt...don't tell dear hubby that other men do that. He is still wearing the PINK one for the breast cancer walk for me!

That mean woman at the 'fancy' mall makes me mad! Grrr. But the funny t-shirt you are wearing cheered me up. Congratulations to Kathy for competing in and completing the triathlon. Great job! - G

  10. Most hoods are actually nice people, they're just broke. That rich b*tch could use some time at charm school.

I'm in love with your dogs. (does that sound too weird?) You know what I mean.

  15. I had the same experience in crappy vs hoity toity malls back when I had my big ol' metal walker: at the craptastic mall, the pierced and mangled-looking punks in Hot Topic actually offered to move racks of merchandise so I could fit down the aisles, then they offered me a chair to sit on in line and then gave me ten free punches on my punch card because they felt bad that their register was running slow! Talk about service! Wow!

Then at the rich people mall, people shoved by me and ignored me like I was invisible. I actually got knocked off balance and fell across my walker when a lady with a $1300 purse shoved by me while I was in line at Macys. She didn't even apologize. People saw the whole thing and no-one said a damn thing.

    Rich people SUCK. Clearly.

Lesson learned: I'd rather hang out with the Hot Topic kids and their pierced eyelids any day!
