I'm not a political blogger, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn

Watched the whole damn thing tonight, and it was a whole lot more of the same for me.

Except for one small thing that I really do have some expertise in...

If McCain is going to try and hold up Palin as an advocate for special needs children, maybe he should spend 5 minutes with her and figure out the fucking difference between Autism and Downs syndrome! What a damn idiot, and Palin doesn't have enough "street cred" with any of us that are special needs parents yet, since her kid is a little over 5 months old and she hasn't really had time to figure out whats up.

(stepping down off of soapbox now)

  1. I thought it was great when the moderator asked them if they would ever say nasty things right to each other's face. Awkward!

  2. I was thinking the exact same thing, S.D. McCain makes these grand statements like that Palin knows more about special needs children than anyone. Really? More that, say, someone who has spent their life raising one of these children? He sounded like an idiot.

  3. I couldn't take it. Spooky sat on th' edge of the couch eating dinner and taking it all in. I couldn't find my bullshit protectors (that is, my gun muffler headphones) and had to slip upstairs to begin reading Dracula.

I was WAITING for someone to ask McCain/Pandolin if now that she is (more-or-less) directly affected by a child w/disabilities, will there be any significant change to funding, health care or education??

It's obvious that the answer is, "wha?? Huh??"

  4. I'm glad I wasn't the only who caught that.

To add insult to injury, regardless of the type of special needs child one has, a $5000 health care credit aint gonna' cut it no matter which way you slice that pie.

  5. I wondered about that, too. I'll be so glad when it's all over.

  6. John McCain is a special needs adult. He especially needs a kick in the ass.

  7. I didn't catch that... Of course, I didn't watch the debates due to bad health (I'm sick of this sh*t).

Nah, I did see some of it. McCain came across as an old guy with hemheroid... Hemmoroi... Hehmerr... An old guy who needs some Preperation H. Grumpy as hell about nothing in particular.

The old fart couldn't even get the disability right... my whole living room was sickened. And to your point - she doesn't have a freaking clue what is to come.

Or will she ever? She seems to have a whole army of younger kids to handle everything - sort of. I've personally seen what having older siblings raise younger siblings looks like. It ain't pretty.

i don't watch the debates ... they give me a rash

i don't agree with picking a woman just because the other candidate is not your average good ole white boy

regardless of what her son has ... she will NEVER be in the same situation as the rest of us "normal" working class people struggling to make ends meet, struggling to help our children because we aren't a governor, senator or have money coming out our asses
