These Images Cannot be Explained

A couple of weeks ago my friend Cindy sent me a link to weird black and white photos from long ago.  These are my favorite out of a whole bunch of weirdness.

What is your favorite?  I like the girl on the bed with the bear resting its paw on her shoulder.

  1. I love this stuff! My fave "smoking children hanging out with a chicken" made the cut! I used that image 3 years ago in a post.

    Sigh. Such sweet memories.

The carebear is a close second though - you'll love this.

  2. Kat, that post of yours must have been prior to the days when I started stalking, er, following you. The carebear picture is even better captioned, you rock!

  3. It was 2008 - the middle ages of blogging! I love that pic but forgot all about it...which makes YOU awesome in my books. According to the old comment thread: "I found it on Flickr during a search for cocksmokers."

  8. Wow, I have no idea what to say, but the elephant squeezing into the backseat is pretty funny! THe rest are just very very strange!

  9. I'm quite fond of the little boy with the gun pointed at the little girl with the "you're not really going to shoot me" smile on her face. And then there's a birdcage.

Then again you can't go wrong with a smoking toddler.

  11. I feel like these are precursors of internet memes. The funny captions have been lost to the mists of time, that's all!
