Things I Want Thursday

The delightful Sass has been running a Thursday special for awhile now, and I have decided to join in. Partly because I have no ideas of my own, but mostly because I get to use the new button Scope designed for her!!

It's a wonderful button, isn't it? I said isn't it!? Yeah, you over there! Pay attention!

I swear, some kids...

And I really need to get out more.

Which brings me to the things I want:

  1. As I said above, I want to get out more. We went to a movie last Saturday, that was the first time in a theater in months.
  2. I want to stop slowly gaining weight. I have always been slim, and now that my metabolism has finally slowed down, I don't like it one damn bit!
  3. I want the transition services people, who ASKED for Skyler to be in their program, to stop putting roadblocks in his way.
  4. I want the price of my cup of Starbucks to go back down, I feel like my patronage is being used against me.
  5. Last but not least, I want you to check your mailbox soon Sass, because I mailed you a present!

  2. Please tell me the movie didn't suck.

And you are entered, in the contest. (Even if you haven't yet dropped a link over at Sass's.)

  3. *waiting patiently for my shrunken head*

    ;)

I want my Starbucks to be cheaper too. $4.26. Yup.

And now that I'm working, the coffee is that much more necessary. ;)

  4. I'm pretty sure Starbucks is run by Satan. Yeah.

  5. Candy: We saw Inglorious Basterds, and it was good, but intense.

Scope: I loved it, but it was a bit too much for Kathy.

Sass: The head is in the mail... And my drink went up 40 cents! That is just not right.

Cora: I wish I could quit them...

  6. I want you to stop supporting that evil conglomerate known as Starbucks.

  7. Chris,
Save your Starbucks cup and rinse it out. Keep it in your car. You can get free refills at any Starbucks.
You're welcome. It's not going to help you lose weight though.

  8. Yeah, I don't get the whole roadblock thing. They want you, then make it nearly impossible for it to happen.

  9. I never go to movies but I will go out to see Where the Wild Things Are..that is one of my favorite children's books.

  10. I'm too chicken to see that movie; I think I'll save my cashola for the Starbucks price hike!

  11. I've noticed if you frequent a particular Starbucks enough, they'll throw in a freebie every 75-100 visits or so. I'm such a sucker for freebies like that.

  12. did you try their new instant coffee? how good can instant coffee be?

  13. would I be horribly shallow if I said all I wanted was MONEY??
