Wow! So this is what alone sounds like...
My wife and Skyler flew out to her parents to visit. She is a really bad flier, and has to medicate herself to get on an airplane. So when I saw this on the desk calendar I had to laugh.
I am seemingly a collection of differences; a mountain man living on the plains, a small town boy living in the city, and a simple soul working in a high-tech environment. I love being outside, but work inside, quick to cry at a Kodak commercial, but with a military background. But most of all, I am the father of a wonderful boy with Cerebral Palsy.
So wait, you're all alone? Oh my. I barely remember what it's like to have an empty house on the weekends.
ReplyDeleteI like flying. I like having empty houses to myself even more.
ReplyDeleteaaand nakked ladies in public fountains? Like you, I likea' THAT the very bestest!!
Last year @ Christmastide mine goodwife and both kids stayed up North with her parents while I stayed down in Jacksonville for a whole fortnight. mmmmmmmmmmm!!
Enjoy! Nobody is the boss of you, dude. Have yourself a beverage!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya Grant. I am so used to the constant hustle and bustle that it is too quiet. Kind of like those movies where the explorers are in the jungle and the drums stop.
ReplyDeleteI have flown in some of the worse conditions you can imagine BO, I love it! Splurged on a flight from Denver over to Aspen a long time ago instead of the 4 1/2 hour drive. We never got above the mountains, flying through the peaks in a twin engine turboprop. I looked out the right side on approach and noticed the prop was just windmilling, we had lost power to that engine. Lots of screaming and praying on that flight!
Thanks anon, I am heavy into the adult beverages right now.
I once made it to Aspen in 3 hours flat from downtown Denver. It was summertime though (no snow on the roads) and I was driving a turbo.
ReplyDeleteYou must have had clear roads, traffic alone makes it way over 3 hours these days.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to start calling you Maverick, I feel the need, the need for speed!
