Fun! It looks like Escher could have built some of those homes.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who their arcitect was, but I hope someone found him and sobered him up. Some of these could be simple mistakes, but the porch over the railroad track, that's just plain stupid. My favorite is the Wilt Chamberlin ATM, as you know your money is being handled by professionals at this bank.

I cannot pick. But you have to wonder about the builders, as well. I mean, c'mon! They still built the things!
ReplyDeleteHey, if anyone ever tries to scrape the back of that monitor with something, you'll have a record of it! That's just thorough planning, I say.
ReplyDeleteI vote for #3. A couple stairs, a railing and a wall. Boom, you're done. I'm also lazy so that works well.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I would like a prize. A beer? Slice of pizza? Oil change?
Katrocket: I hadn't thought of Escher, you are so right!
ReplyDeleteDoc: Makes for a nice relaxing evening on the porch, until you hear the train whistle...
Leonesse: It was probably a government job, you know.
Michael: Total coverage my friend.
Suzel: I bet you already have that in your house, and how about if I change your beer instead of oil? You drink that generic crap, don't you?
#3 gets the gold, #8 the silver and #9 the bronze. i blame the French judge for these results.
ReplyDeleteIs that the escalator to Heaven they always talked about in Tom and Jerry cartoons?
ReplyDeleteThey're all worthy in their unworthiness. A few years back in a town near here, they built a fancy schmancy new bus terminal but forgot to measure a few things, like the height of a bus. None of them could enter the terminal.
ReplyDeleteI vote #8.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some of the "construction" I've seen down in Baja.
ReplyDeleteI like the porch over the RR tracks. I can just see the engineer of a freight train coming around a curve and seeung that.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between #1 and the one with the street lamp.
