Memorial Day
Taking a break from my usual twisted humor and youtube fetish for a couple of days. I have a lot to do this weekend, getting caught up on some cleanup, going to lot's of graduation parties, all while trying to do it one-armed. Should be interesting.
I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday weekend, and I hope that in between the fun and frivolity everyone takes just a moment to remember what the weekend is all about. I will be thinking about guys I served with, and some that were lost even in peacetime.

Yep. I plan on drinking heavily for part of the weekend, just 'cause I want to, and spending the other part holding a flag.
ReplyDeleteIt's important to hold a flag once in a while. No matter what shape the country's in now, or who's fault it is, a lot of good men and women did a lot of difficult things under difficult circumstances so we wouldn't have to. I hold the flag for them.
In a way, that's what the flag represents to me... Not the United States itself, but rather the men and women who created and defended the country.
I will always remember all those I served with and all those that served that I will never know. They are my brothers and sisters.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice reminder. Enjoy your Memorial Day. I hope the weather is nice and you get to spend some time outside.
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial day, Dad!
ReplyDeleteI love the red POppies...and the men sitting at the post office selling them.... a good deed that needs to be done...so not to forget those that are gone....
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your weekend. That was a good drawing you put up with the post.
