Whatever it is, it's UGLY

A lady in Cuero, Texas thinks she might have found the body of the legendary, bloodsucking Chupacabra. Phylis Canion found the body last month outside her ranch, which has big ears, large fanged teeth and grayish-blue, mostly hairless skin.

Know what I think it is? I think it's the legendary father of Sam, winner of the worlds ugliest dog contest!

  4. Okay, sick minds think alike-- I had the exact same thought, except that I thought that they'd dumped Sam in the desert.

For most of my teaching career, I taught in predominantly latino, and specifically kids from Mexican or Mexican-American families; the fascination with the Chupacabra was incredible.

  5. Ghost: Virgin Mary, ha!

Beth: Sam will never, ever be defeated.

JY: Is it the same as the way I was brought up to think of the boogie man? Or is this different all together?

a student in my class had a book on monsters and spookies and what-have-you, and this sucker was in it. According to the text, it IS more-or-less the same thing as the Boogie Man...

ummm..... that's a xolitscuintle, or Mexican hairless dog. I know, I have two of them. My guess is, it's a cross between a xolo and a wolf, or maybe a xolo and a cyote.
