Aunt Karen and Uncle Steven sent Skyler a video tape

They recorded some shows for Skyler from up in Seattle and let him know they were sending the tape to him, so we left it in the mailbox for him to pickup!

How sweet of them to send the tape. We forget how much fun it is to get mail when you're a kid, don't we?

  4. Dat's th' way ya' doo it!! Make the kid work for it!! Ha! (we do the same thing with Bubba...)

You know, to tell the truth, *I* feel about that excited when *I* get real mail and somethin' that 'ent bills in the mail...

And I don't know what it is about special needs kids, but they seem to experience emotions more purely than the rest of us: I mean, how often do you see REAL JOY on the faces of neurotypical people, especially adults?? I love hearing Bubba laugh, and I replayed this viddie 4 times just to see Skyler laugh. Thanx for sharin'!!!

  10. Dammit - I read your blog at work, and can't view the videos. So now I have homework. Skyler is adorable, and I must see this video with proper sound, etc.

  12. Thanks everyone, Skyler was really happy to get a video tape that had some of his favorite news folks on it from Seattle.

He is a news fiend, and has taken several tours of news stations. It is what he wants to do someday, work in their news room.

  13. You give me the address, and I will send him anything he wants, within reason, twice a week. Honestly, if he is looking for a penpal at least I speak English.

I cried great big salty tears. God bless him. Take care ya'll.
