Douchebag Solidarity

They are taking back the word people! language and adult situations... We Are Douchebags - watch more funny videos

I am thankful for lots of things in my life. But one of the big things I am thankful for is all of the people that I have met out here since I started this little insane hole in the internettubes. You have entertained me, made me laugh, made me cry, made me angry, and held me up when I was down. You all rock. Now go eat until you drift into a coma.

An open letter to Ms. "Fierce" in front of me at Starbucks

Hey bitch! Yeah you, Ms. Bluetooth. there are people back waiting for you to shut your pie-hole and order. Are you really that important Ms. Jungle print? Nah, I didn't think so... Now let's move on to that toothpick you are working. I have no fucking idea what it is you are trying to pry loose, but from the sucking sounds, I am guessing an Antelope leg that you came across while foraging. You certainly didn't run it down based on the back fat spilling out over your damned bag ! Have you not been to a coffee shop in this decade? It's coffee, either drip or espresso. A few things added if you like, but why the hell are you asking the minimum wage drone to explain it all down to the fucking molecular level !?! Ok, I am better now. I have my coffee, I have vented, and all is good.

Let's Review Some Interesting Facts About Balloons and Gas!

Very odd instructional video on how to be a balloon employee. I did learn that it is important to curtsy though...

Monday Morning Madness

Back to work after a great weekend, and I have too many things to post that have been sent my way. So instead of any sort of theme, how about "I'll take potpourri for 500 Alex"? I hope some of these get you off to work with a smile on your face: I just love this! Mom must certainly be proud. I always knew cows would someday rise to take over the world! The first cleaning is always a good time for a family photo op. It's time for your cleansing Mr Smith. Yep. Kind of... Answers the age old question. Must be some damn good gum. He he he. I guess if you run out of gum. Well, it is a pretty damn good stick! Teaching little girls that they too can grow up to be hotel maids! Yeah, everybody uses Facebook!!

November 22, 1963

I remember that I was in first grade and our teacher was crying. We really didn't understand what was going on, only that the president had been shot. I think that most of us thought that it was like a TV show, where they just patch it up and it's OK. Lots of theory's and plenty of footage exists, but I thought this was a good synopsis. From National geographic: On Nov. 22, 1963, hundreds of hours of TV news, radio reports, and home movies captured history as it was chaotically unfolding. This was on an old CD I found in the car today. I always loved this song, and the version by the Saint Thomas Abby choir is one of the most amazing things you will ever hear!

Fire That Agency

Bad Tat Tuesday, the late post edition

Here it is, 4:00 in the afternoon and I realize it's Tuesday already! Where does the time go? Where is my head at? Where are my bad tats? Never fear brave readers, even though the hour is late, I shall not let you down. Brace yourselves, engage your retinal shades and practice those kegel exercises, because here we gooooo... I think he should have left the hair unshaved, just to add to the hairy Wookie look. This is actually pretty good artwork, but disturbing on a number of levels. So much going on here... ET in the field of corn, in a Jesus or Mary pose, with the girl holding the banner? What does it all mean, what does it all mean? Does a bear shit in the woods? Damn right, but a Giraffe? Whole different game. What the hell is Hellfish? Band? Biker gang? Lets call these next winners the bad canvas collection: Hulk Hogan never looked more awesome, or more spread out. I wonder what the tat was before the extra hundred or so pounds? Hide the kids for this next one, this is

Feedback from an old story of mine

Something very nice happened last week I wanted to tell you all about. I received a very nice email from a guy named Gary that said he had found an old post I did about the plane crash of the Wichita State football team . Here is a snippet from his email: I ran across a blog you wrote last December about the WSU plane crash. As difficult as it was to read through that – especially the ending – I do appreciate you taking the time to do so. You see, my six sisters and I lost our parents in that crash. Just recently there was a documentary done on the crash by a Wichita TV station. It certainly stirred a number of things in my heart, and as I have been looking at some additional things on the web I came across what you wrote. Well, just a simple thanks to you – and to your dad for his help and support in a very difficult situation years ago. God bless you. Wow. I can't imagine losing both of your parents like that! So I responded to him to thank him for his email, and he answered

Zero to Hero and back, all in a single morning.

Yesterday when we got up at our usual time of 0 dark thirty, we turned on the TV for Skyler to watch as we went about the morning activities. He was surfing around and found that the local NBC affiliate, channel 9, was doing their annual food and clothing drive called 9Cares Colorado shares . Skyler saw that two of his favorites in the TV biz, Kathy Sabin and Adele Arakawa were at the Inverness Hotel collecting donations. This is Kathy and Adele: So Skyler is all excited about going and donating something in order to get to see two of his favorites, and two that have been here in Denver forever. He met them first at the Race or the Cure when he was about 6 years old. I tried to talk him into going to see a couple other 9news celebs who were at the Weston hotel, which is only about 5 miles from us. The Inverness is on the exact opposite side of the whole city, 75 miles round trip... He would have nothing to do with that! We needed to go see Kathy and Adele. So I agreed to drive hi

Friday Funny

A little something to get you headed into the weekend. Tillie - Maude - Gertrude These three old ladies and their dogs were sitting on a park bench having a quiet conversation when a flasher approached from across the park. The flasher came up to the ladies, stood right in front of them and opened his trench coat. Gertrude immediately had a stroke. Then Maude also had a stroke. But Tillie, being older and more feeble, couldn't reach that far.

And people say men are insensitive...

This is a story I ran across of true love. This guy (Alvaro Alfonso de Miranda Neto), simply referred to as "Doda" was married to this women: Here she is again. And again. Her name is Cibele Dorsa. She is a Brazilian swimsuit and Playboy model. He divorced her because he fell in love with, This woman. Those two are very happily married right now. Some people argue that love is blind. This story clearly shows it. It proves that men are capable of real love. Truly seeing the inner beauty inside a person, not basing their decisions solely on looks. Oh, By the way. The new girl is Athina Onassis. She's worth 2 Billion dollars.

Veterans Day

This is a repost of an entry I wrote 2 years ago, November 11, 2007. I don't have anything better to say than this, so I will simply repeat it. I am adding a video that I love at the end of this version, it is called "A Pittance of Time" by Terry Kelly. I think it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever watched. In case you missed it, this is the 25th anniversary of the march in Washington DC to dedicate the Viet Nam memorial, better known as just "The Wall". When the wall was dedicated there was a lot of vets who came to try and heal the wounds of the past, some to remember lost buddies, some to try and bring closure to what happened over there. Here is the video from the march back in 1982 when the wall was dedicated: When I entered the Navy It was 2 years after the war had ended, and I met a lot of guys who served during the war. One stands out to me, and I always remember him during memorial day and veterans day. He was the only friend I lost d

November 10, 1975

In memory of the 29 lives lost on the Edmund Fitzgerald. It must have been such a terrifying thing, I have been in very bad sea conditions before in the Navy. The line in the song "Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours" is very poignant. We transited from Perth Australia north into the Indian Ocean right through a major Typhoon. My 426 foot long destroyer was climbing up over waves the were over 50 feet. We took water into the wheelhouse several times, and once rolled 56 degrees. The carrier we were with of course suspended flight operations because they were getting roughed up. Scary, scary shit.

Yeah. It's kind of been like this for awhile...

Life has been busy. Life has been expensive. Life has been getting in the way of blogging, and I am sorry for that. Hopefully, I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Things that make you go huh? Or WTF!?

The blogging force is not strong with me lately, so I am just cleaning out a folder here. These are all a collection of oddities I have found on my tour of the internettubes... Keep the hoof night at my favorite outdoor restaurant. Sure she's a ho, but she has a nice pussy! (sorry, couldn't help myself with that one) I am betting he has money. Lot's and lot's of money. I! WANT! My idea of hell. Guts high dive. Damn Tuba players! Takes the edge off of those long morning commutes. Speechless. I am simply speechless. Most deactivated roads are usually full-permanently. There really IS such a thing! That is why the problem with poaching Elephants for their tusks is so bad. They think they are deer. Now THIS I like! All of the loss of sensation without any of the protection! I want to ride this! Get out! They left off the hardest setting. Timmy always wanted to be Michael. World's worst job competition. I always seem to ride next to this dude on my flights. True that
