Go check out JJ In LA
She has a wonderful post up today about what everyone should know about people who use wheelchairs.
I am seemingly a collection of differences; a mountain man living on the plains, a small town boy living in the city, and a simple soul working in a high-tech environment. I love being outside, but work inside, quick to cry at a Kodak commercial, but with a military background. But most of all, I am the father of a wonderful boy with Cerebral Palsy.
I went, I read, and I thank you for directing me there. You're a good guy. xo
ReplyDeleteI adore JJ!! I'm on my way over there right....NOW.
ReplyDeleteShe had some great points!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of bloggy love, thank you!!! I'm SO glad I asked your opinion. I hope everyone takes your video to heart. : )
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I hired a man a few years ago who has been in a wheel chair since a skiing accident when he was 17 (he's now in his 40s). I learned at lot from him, most of all that he may be in a wheel chair but that doesn't keep him from living. He drives a BMW convertible with hand controls, is married to an attractive daughter and, two years ago, adopted a beautiful Chinese girl. That dude is livin' large.
ReplyDeleteit was a very poignant, touching video.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. Thanks for sharing Skydad and JJ.
